At just 24 years of age, Tyler Boyle has won the Tour of the Sanreizan! Boyle was looking to be one of the favorites for the youth classification, but nobody had predicted that he would become the overall winner. This win is extra special as it is the first palmarès for NCCF Specialized Racing.
When asked how it all came together, Boyle had this to say, "Before season 42 had ended, I knew that my goal for season 43 was to win the YC jersey at the Tour of Sanreizan. I came into this race with top form and knew my teammates were also well rested and happy. We didn't realize that we had a true shot at taking the overall until stage 3 when I took the stage win and pulled on the leaders jersey. After that, the guys did everything to keep me safe while not allowing any attackers to stay away and spoil our chances. Without them this wouldn't have been possible!"
The team manager, Cole Davis, gave us his point of view of the experience, "Tyler Boyle is a very talented rider and has a bright future. There was no doubt that he was going to be the captain for this race. However, picking the 5 teammates that were going to support him was a different story. In the end I think I brought the most diverse group of guys I could to this race and it paid off big time with Tyler Boyle collecting 4 top 5 finishes! I am very proud of what the team accomplished and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the season plays out."
On day one of the season Davis had announced three goals for the team; win the YC jersey at the Tour of the Sanreizan, collect 3 wins throughout the season, and to launch a u23 program. Seeing how he has already accomplished 2 of the 3 goals we can imagine that it won't be too long until we see him announce the startup of a u23 team.
